I am a current MD/PhD student at the University of Chicago. I study the History of Medicine, with a particular interest in public health and medicine in twentieth-century Mexico. On this site, you can find my CV, my publications, and my presentations, and hopefully get a sense of what I think and how I think it.
My life isn't dominated by medicine or history, however. I am a fan of food, of travel, and of contemporary politics. I publish weekly comments on these things, drawing on my history knowledge to get a better sense of the complexities of these elements of our daily life. Writing them is helpful to me, and I hope they may be interesting to you. I hope you comment on them and enter into conversation with me. I don't want this to be a lecture, but a conversation, and even better, a cordial debate.
Thank you for sharing this space with me. I look forward to chatting with you.
